Blogging it Up

Music Playing:
Guster, Goldfly

So, I've decided to blog it up. Mainly after reading Adam's blog some, I decided I need to share my thoughts with the world. Also, I don't want to do my readings for class. I just recently switched over to a mac, and am having trouble getting used to Dreamweaver for the mac. So forgive me for any wierdness. Anyhow, I am going to Montreal this weekend (woohoo!) to visit Ellie. Tucker, Alli and I are driving up on friday afternoon after my photo class. Sadly, I am not taking a digital art class this semester, so I will not have as many new projects to share with the world, but you can look at my older projects in the art section of this site. However, I am taking a poetry workshop with Eleanor Wilner, and I will periodically post some of my poems up here for reading. I will also scan in any good photos that I take. The other classes
that I am taking right now (in case you were interested) are European Art and Architecture from 1900 to 1940 and the Art of the Spanish Habsburgs, both of which are great so far.

Googlability, is that a word? When I google googability, it asks me, "Did you mean: gullibility." I've recently been obsessed with googlability, googling myself and people that I know, finding out what happened to long lost friends. Most people my age use the facebook for this, but I don't believe in it. And then it strikes me that it is a strange voyeuristic thing to google other people. And then I get nervous that people are googling me. One very interesting thing
is that this website does not show up on google (yet). When I google myself, only 18 hits come up, three of which relate to me. The rest mostly refer to an episode of friends and the others to a dead woman of the same name who lived in Marin County, IN, who I'm pretty sure I have no relation to. Unfortunately, google isn't really an accurate way of tracking people down, and it usually makes me feel sad and nostalgic .

I have no more excuses for not doing my readings,
I must go now...
