Bush Falls off Bike.....Again

On TV:
Tour de France

So much has happened in the last few days. Not so much with me, but in the world. I'm going to start with some lighter news that made me giggle. On July 6th, Bush was riding a bike around a golf course in Scotland when he hit a policeman and fell off his bike. Here is the full story. Ok, maybe I am a horrible person for thinking this is funny (I mean, think of the poor policeman) but no one was really hurt AND, this isn't the first time Bush has fallen off a bike.

Ok, I can't avoid talking about London. What is there to say? You've all seen a million images and stories from the news. I just hope that Americans will stop to think about this horrible tragedy and maybe give a moment of silence, just like the rest of the world gave for us in 2001.

To completely change the subject, I missed the bus last night to go to Jamie's Birthday party in Northampton. J, if you are reading this, I am so sorry!

Rasmussen just won stage nine of the tour de france. This moves him into fourth place.

One of my 2.5 loyal readers, Ellie, asked if I would add a way to respond to the posts. I'm, working on it, Ellie, hold tight.

And now, another edition of:

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO RACHEL

Sugar and Spice in Porter Square, Cambridge, is some of the best and unique Thai food I have ever had. I got the Cripsy Pad Thai, which was almost unrecognizable as Pad Thai because the noodles were crispy (wow, what a surprise) and it was accented by a sweet and tangy sauce (my mouth is watering). Definately not your grandma's pad thai! The woman at the table next to me ordered the avacado chicken himmapan (peanut curry) which also looked great. And for prices and atmosphere, I give an A. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was young and funky. Definately my kind of place.

But beware! I don't always give rave reviews!  Out of the Blue(seafood) in Davis Square, Somerville, was ok, but did not live up to its reputation. The atmosphere was like a beachside clam shack, which is ok by me, but the prices were more like those of Legal Sea Foods. The food was good, but unoriginal. Nothing out of the ordinary.

What I've discovered is that Porter Square restaurants are a lot less expensive than Davis Square restaurants, which is interesting considering that Porter is in Cambridge and Davis is in Somerville (aka, Slumerville).

Ok, that's all for now. oh, and I forgot to mention, 6 DAYS UNTIL HARRY POTTER!
